How is the best way to do this with a baby that is all over the place?!
We have a side car crib with one side off and then our mattress on old mattresses underneath but Hrefna climbs to our “bed” and can easily fall down, it is like 55-60cm..
Yeah and I do not want to sleep on mattresses on the floor :p

My Leah was the same way..it was not at all safe to have her in my bed, and yes…she fell out of the bed quite a few times since we both fell asleep while I fed her….not fun to wake up to that thump when they hit the floor. You get ever so worried
